Why is my MPEG1 Video using MP2 instead of MP3?

I know mp3 is more compressed so why waste space with mp2 for a mpg1 video? as you can see in the following picture:

Mp3 audio is not a compatible format with regards to mpeg-1 video. You will have to convert the mpeg-1 (VCD) to a divx or xvid in order to utilize mp3.
