    Avi2vcd

Thanks for replying, I followed your instructions using TMPEG and I am still having problems. All the AVI files that I have on my PC will not work, I get a message saying they are not supported. I have put the ad on files onto my pc but it is still not working. What am I doing wrong? Or are all the files I downloaded no good! although they play on the pc. I am downloading via morpheus could this be my problem.

From my earlier response to your original post (about how to convert an AVI to VCD):

"TMPGEnc will not accept the audio if it is in either VBR-.MP3 format or .AC3 format"

Load one of your .AVIs into VirtualDub. From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information".

      Post everything that's listed...

I installed the tsunami codec and that solved the situation. I converted my downloaded avi movie and then proceeded to burn a vcd. I used creator 5.o platinum. The quality of the picture did not turn out to great but the audio seems alright. When I play the movie with window media player the visual is not clear either. I opened the file with virtual dub and heres the info
        frame size 352x249 29.97
        # frames 125573
        # IPB 7063,34976,83534
        3616,15953,27586
        852,7508,19102
        29,2665,10533
        1142kbps

        44khz 224kbps
        160397
        114570

is there a way to check/ preview quality of video before burning. Thx for your time

          To Levis22

My previous posting was a response to Donnap, who is using TMPGEnc.

But just curious, is there a particular reason that you omitted both the video and audio codec information from your listing of Virtual Dub's File Information?

Also, how did you convert an AVI with dual audio tracks?
