    compressing a vcd

Hi all, is there a way to compress a vcd to fit on a cdr? example, Shrek when I try to burn it with nero it says pls insert cdr with more space.
    thanx

also, how can I burn a divx. avi file to cdr? TMPGEnc can't convert to vcd b/c it says file not supported, and when Nero encodes it b4 burning it gives me the above error message to insert another cdr with more space?

    thanx all in advance

I do not think you can but, even if you could do you realize a VCD is a already compressed video file? Some of the VCD's I have made and seen were already compressed to the max and were watchable, but thats about it. %99 of the time, VCD's are going to need at least 2 CD-R disc. The best way I can describe trying to get a VCD on 1 disc with even watchable quality, is like trying to put your finger in a keyhole.

In TMPGEnc (after loading your file to be made into VCD) click the "Load" radiobutton and doubleclick on the KVCD template...

            thanx again Setarip.
I did that, although the kvcd template is a text file? once I load it the stream type changes from system(video+audio) to ES(video only). Is this ok?
also, tmpgenc is now almost always saying file cannot open or unsupported? I already downloaded a xvid codec and installed it in the same folder as tmpgenc, that it still doesn't open the xvid file.

I'm afraid I have nothing additional to suggest.

Perhaps another poster can help you further...

never mind, I got it to fit. I realized my philips standalone is able to play any type of file, so I just burned the file as a regular data file and it works perfectly, and the image is crystal clear also. thanx all for trying to help me!
