    DIVx1.6 encoding to xsvcd problem

I rip DVD with SmartRipper. I calc the bitrate to fit on (2) 80 min. CD-R. Then I use DVDx 1.6 to encode into 720x480. Short tests (2 min/10 mb plus/minus) come out perfect! I copy the test MPEG to a CD-R and play and it plays perfectly!! HOWEVER, a FULL encode of the movie comes out crappy from the start! I don't know why the difference. Any clues?

    Same thing with TMPGenc

I changed to the TMPGenc encoder, and get the same result. A 2 minute test works fine, but a full encode turns out lousy (blocky, jumpy etc.) I used a higher bitrate; tried 2-pass VBR, etc.

      Visit vcdhelp.com
Try to "soften block noise" Depending on your problem you may want to enable/disable deinterlacing.
