    videocd on cdi to vcd/svcd

    Hi,

I have a Philips videocd on cd-i that plays alright on my DVD player except one thing - the subtitling apparently only works on cd-i player.

Does anyone know how I can rip audio+video+subtitling from a video-cd on cd-i and convert it to a format that can be read by tmpgenc ? From there I can make my own vcd or svcd cds.

    Regards,
    Sune

I have looked a bit further on this and found that the subtitling is in a file with the extension .sw in the CDI directory.

Having looked around subtitling I cannot find anything about the .sw format. Is there any way to convert it to a more used format, such as .ssa ? Then I can probably use Virtualdub to create an avi with subtitling and from there create a mpeg with tmpgenc and burn a CDR with VCD format with CD Createor.
