Player shows wrong time. WHY???

Hello

i convert my dvd´s with dvdx using videoserver and encode them using tmpeg. the mpeg2 files work all fine, but my players then show a wrong time. i use power dvd and my standalone player also shows the wrong time information?
Can somebody tell me why and how I can solve this???

Also if I try to open the file with Virtual Dub it gives me an error: MPEG Import Filter: Pack Synchronization Error...

VirtualDub cannot directly handle MPEG2 files...
