AVI2VCD gives B&W movie...why?

Hi all,

I convert my DivX movies with TMPGENC and burn them as VCD with Nero. But when I play the VCD in my standalone DVD-player, the movie only plays in black & white. Vision & sound is great. But I want colors! What could be the problem?

Visit vcd-help.com you may find some help there. This problem may depend on your cd media.

Silly question, perhaps, but since VCDs, DVD, and the like typically exhibit less color saturation on a television than does a broadcast station - have you tried cranking up the color setting on your television?

I found it! It wasn't the media nor my TV-set. It was a NSTC/PAL thing. I had to convert to PAL before burning the VCD. Noiw it works great. Thnks for the replies tho.
