How to join 2 strips of mpeg2 perfectly

I had a crash caused by an electricity fail when I was encoding a movie with TMPGEnc. Of course I have an UPS, but the fail was unusual and my system restarted

Now I don't want to reencode all. I want to startencoding a second strip with the same settings near the point of the crash so I can later join the two parts. But the problem is that I need a tool able to cut in the exact frame and to join the two parts perfectly.

I have tried tools in the downloads section hear but all of them are bad or buggy. By the way, I was encoding only video (without sound), I mean with the .m2v extension instead of .mpg

    Please help!

I wonder if there is a utility, it doesn't mater if it's commercial and expensive

you can use TMPGEnc to join mpeg too. Just go to Mpeg tools.

      It doesn't work

TMPGEnc can't cut in the exact frame, it only displays the option to select in seconds.

By the way, cause my first strip ends in an unexpected point, many programs send a message when opening the file: "Wrong file version"

Sorry, I was mistaken. I found how to move into frames with TMPGEnc.

        I'll see if it works

        Thanks

To move frame-by-frame under TMPGEnc's MPEGTools "Merge&Cut", simply click on the ">>"...
