    Divx to vcd

    I'm trying to convert a divx movie with a frame rate of 23.976 to pal vcd, using tmpeg. The problem is when I convert it to pal its very jerky. How do I convert the divx to 25 frames and keep the audio in sync with virtualdub.

    This is doing me head in....wife wants a divorce and the dog left on wednesday!!!

    In addition to setting the resolution to 352x288 and the aspect ratio to one of the "PAL 625 line" settings under BOTH the "Video" and "Advanced" tabs, under the "Video" tab, set the framerate to 25FPS...

    Let us know of your success ;>}

      Thanks mate for the help, but still no luck, must be a setting somewhere I'm missing. In Pal its still very jerky, like its missing frames.

      So I tried it this way...

      MPEG2 352x240 29.97fps 2000kbps Layer 2 48000Hz 224kbps

      This seemed better. It also fooled spruceup and allowed me to have 3 movies on one dvd.

      I have no problems doing them from dvd to vcd pal, just with divx's. It don't seem to smooth the frame rate out.

        "48000Hz"

        Change the audio frequency to VCD-compliant 44,100Hz...
