    TMPGEnc Bug Questions

Is anyone having a problem with TMPGEnc while using Windows XP? For some reason, when I am trying to convert an avi file to Mpeg, the program shuts itself down after 10 seconds and disappears from my screen. Tried it on two computers and got the same thing. Can anybody help me out with this? I hate using AVI2VCD because it take forever.

You could try VCDEASY, also ensure you have the latest version of TMPGEnc.

You may also be in need of the VFAPI companion plugin.

Just a note: TMPGEnc is incompatible with DIVX 5.0 and the subsequent DIVX 5.01 codec, if you have them installed uninstall them, and revert back to a previous version.

No DIVX 5.1 here. What about the VCD Easy Q?

you don't have divx 5.0 either? Do you have divx 3.11 or divx 4.12?

can you convert this file using avi2vcd?

Load the file in Virtualdub, post the information here, and possibly any error messages or prompts.

Yeah, probably VBR audio or the wrong frequency. Virtualdub can be very helpful.
