tmpge& xp

can anybody help ? just upgraded 2 xp pro all my usual progs for vcd work fine but tmpge all works exept merge&cut i am well used 2 this prog but when i use m&c it says at address 73f91d04 read error occurred against address 73f91d04 i have the latest version witch supports xp anybody any ideas ? all is not lost though i just use a prog called vcd cutter that i got of the net but that is not the way forward i do not like things getting the better of me ( yes i have inst the plug in )

this happens to all files i also installed all progs on father in laws pute also running xp with pent 4 did ex the same my pute running athlon also re down loaded tmpge from official site still the same as i said tmpge works fine untill i use merge & cut it will let me load film into m&c also let me select half way but when i press ok 4 it to cut the film that is when i get the read error message
its a fustrating one
it would not be so bad if the whole prog failed then i may say its tmpge & xp but only one part dose not work
the good thing is vcd cutter is an ex little prog for cutting
