Change default setting in Magic DVD ripper and allow batch processing

I was wondering if I could get help with Magic DVD Ripper. I found this one out from one of the posts here from yesterday while I had had problem with backing up Bourne Supremacy with DVD Shrink. And so I would download trial version of MDR (Magic DVD Ripper) and try it out. Even before it finished downloading, I was able to backup Bourne Supremacy with my older version of DVD Shrink (v3.17) without no hassles. But that is a different point here...so I later on tried to rip that .ISO file to mpg with MDR and it just came out with flying colors. Today, I was backing up another DVD with DVD Shrink but at the same time I wanted another .ISO (which was in my local drive) to rip into mpg with MDR. So I opened it and lo...it would just stay "busy" right there trying to access my already busy DVD ROM drive and do nothing except get busy freezing up my laptop. How can I make MDR not to access DVD drive by default, but instead prompt me for a source? Also, how can I batch rip movies in MDR? Thanks for reading!!!

    See this:http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/6259/mdrwo1.jpg

BTW, I don't think there is a batch converting option in MDR. U can try Mediacoder for that.
