    mpeg1 onto DVD

    hi,
not sure if im posting this in the correct forum, sorry if its not.
id also like to say thanks in advance for your responses.
ive got some avi files that ive encoded to mpeg1 using tmpegenc which im now wanting to burn onto a blank dvd+r using nero express 6 but i cant seem to be able to???
Is this something that can be done, is this disc compatible with the mpeg format or is it just the nero programe?
can anyone tell me how this can be done or point me in the direction of a guide or a program that will allow me to do this.
    again thanks in adnvance

What Is The Framerate Of The Mpeg Files? i suppose this is just the free version of TMPGEnc? if you are going to dvd it is better to encode them (avi's)to mpeg-2.

Encoding to convert VCD (MPEG-1) to DVD (MPEG-2) will only increase the file size but not the video quality. You instead can burn several VCDs (up to 5 or 6 VCDs) to one DVD+/-R playable with most DVD players. The best thing of this method is that you don't have to encode the file so that it'll save you lot of time. All you need is free trial TMPGEnc DVD Author and the guide from the link below:
