    Partially Subtitles Ripping -> MPEG1

    Hi,

    i make my DVD Rips the folowing way:

    1. Use Smart Ripper to Rip and make a new VOB File for each chapter
    2. Use DVD2AVI to Make a d2v File fo reach VOB
    3. Use TMPEGENC to make a MPEG1 VideoCD Compilant MPEG for each File.

    But now i need subtitles, but not for the complete Movie. How can i rip the Subtitles of a VOB File and Encode it into the MPEG1 File? Is it possible maybe AFTER The encoding was done? (I am already finished making my MPEG1 Files, so i don't want to reencode them if i can avoid it).

    I still have the VOB Files, one for each Chapter (Total 68 VOBs)

    Hi there, i havent ever hadcthe need to rip a dvd with Sub-titles in parts of a movie and not in others so i suppose i cant directly tell you how you can achieve it. But i am sure if you muck aroiund with the followiny it will work... I use Smart Ripper to rip and click on Enable Stream Processing and choose the language you want and Subtitles you want to rip (by not ripping those you dont want does save time in conversion). Also rip all the files on the DVD, ie. not just the VOBs as i have found that somtimes you need all the files to be successfull. Than I use Flask to convert from MPEG 1 to MPEG 2. Open Flask up, filed the info file and than choose the sub tiles and language you want. Now if you only want subtitles in part of the movie, you may have to convert the VOBs seperatly and alter the way you do it..

    hope this is of some help

    cheers
