bbMpeg in flask wont work with Nero

    hiya

using FlasKMPEG and the bbMpeg, i created VCD mpeg files sucessfully, but they wont be accepted by Nero!!!
i think i followed all the instructions...
are the bbMpeg created files compatible?
    any suggestions?

alternatively, i've tried using dvd2avi to frameserve to Tmpgenc, which seems to produce prettier quality, but aspect ratio all wrong! the 2.35:1 ratio gets streched to 16:9, so the people look all skinny. any ideas about that as well?

    thanx!

What is the error that Nero comes up with that the MPEG2 files wont be accepted by NERO ? Are you having to cut the MPEG2 files ? If so what are you using to cut the files ?

    Cheers

      thanx for ur reply.
sorri i took so long, havent converted in a while, cant remember what error was. did a sample just then...

      i think ur onto something.
the mpg file imports into Nero fine when its come out of FlasK.
however, after Cutting with TMpgEnc, nero gives me this compliance error:

      ---
The file ... is invalid, need MPEG-1 which was
      encoded for Video-CD:
      audio: ...
      video: ...

      The following problems were found:
      - stream encoding which is invalid for a [Super] Video-CD

You are creating a Video CD V2.0 (CD-i player) compliant CD,
but the MPEG file is not suitable for such a disc.
How would you like to proceed?

      any ideas?

Yes the problem can arise from cutting the MPEG file with TMPGEnc. Although it is a Fantastic program, cutting with TMPGEnc does have this downfall. I over come this problem by using a program called M1 Edit or you can also use M2 Edit. I repackitize the MPEG files after cutting than load them into NERO.

i'm using an old vcd cutting program now, MpegTool (by Dino), instead of TMPEGEnc. Nero accepts it fine!

          thanx heaps for ur help!
