Making VCD's w/Nero Burn

I'm using Nero Burn to convert from avi to vcd. When I convert the avi file and it is getting ready to burn, the software ask for a blank or empty cdr. I already have a blank cdr installed but it still ask for one and I keep putting a different cdr in but eventually I have to cancel because it don't accept it. I have burned vcd's before with nero burn but I get this problem after 1 or 2 conversions and burns. I don't understand what the problem is because my computer is recognizing the cdr but nero burn is not. Can someone help me with this?

Exit NERO and then restart it...

When I restart Nero Burn do I have to go all the way back through the converting process?

I have restarted 5 times but I keep getting the same message. I also get a Error mesage saying "SCSI/IDE error". Do you know what that means?
