    Simple Question - Experts Only

Thanx for reading this....anyways I have an 'ntsc film' 23.976fps mpeg2 file I made in TMPGEnc 2.56.39.143. It plays fine and all, however when I try to create a SVCD in Nero I get an error message telling me "stream encoding is invalid for a [super] video-cd". I have burnt many other SVCDs at 29.97fps, can this error be corrected? Thanx in advance...

Have you tried simply loading the MPEG2 back into TMPGEnc and resaving it at 29.97fps?

When you say save it at 29.97 do you mean re-encode? If so that is just not possible because I do not want to downgrade the quality....

As the old saying goes, "You can't have your cake and eat it too."

The recompression of an MPEG2 format file by TMPGEnc should not result in noticeable degradation...
