2 tracks Nero burned VCD stops playing on DVD Player

    Hello there !
I've burned a VCD using Nero, it was composed of two tracks PAL encoded with tmpegenc. When I put it on my DVD player it seems all OK: it finds two tracks, track time also seems correct. Unfortunately when I reach 29 min 43 sec of the first track playback stops suddenly and there is no way to go on. Even if I try to skip to the second track it doesn't work. Have you any idea: is it a burning problem or a dvd player problem ?
    Thanks in advance !

    P.S.
If you need more specific information I'll try to give it
    Please excuse my mistakes ...

    More information..

Here some more information about my problem. I've tried to play first track mpeg source (tmpegencoded) on my PC and it works well. Then I've tried to play the corresponding dat file on the burned cd and it stops exactly in the same point where it does on DVD player (29 min. 43 sec.). So probably the problem is due to the burning process. Do you think Nero is the cause ? Or CD-Writer, or CD-ROM quality itself ?
    Thank you.
    Bye

      Hi there

I don't think you have any harware problems since I have the exact same problem as you have. I have not found any solution yet so I will follow this thread closely. I dont know if it is a coincident but this problem only accurs when I create VCD from AVI files.

I follow the same procedure as you do. AVI to MPEG with Tmpenc and then burn with Nero.

Good luck to both of us

I had the same pb few days ago with bad quality CDR.

Try to burn with 1 X speed. The final qulity 'll de better.
