I can't play Mpeg-1 files off my hard disk

I can't play Mpeg-1 files off my hard disk. I have a H+ and have used it without incident. Now I suddenly having problems playing back Mpeg files on any folder of my hard disk, but not of a CD in the CD/DVD drive. I tried both the Real Magic player and Eugene's DVD player. I re-installed H+ drivers. Like I said, the card is working fine.

    Any thoughts?

(am I in the right forum for this topic?)

Have you tried BSPLAYER or WMP 6.4? If not, try them.

My specific concern is being able to play the mpeg-1 files with one of the 2 programs of the Hollywood Plus so I can pass it out to TV. Like I said, I have been able to do this, but now for some reason neither of these programs run files directly off my hard disc. Only CDs (as mpeg files), VCDs, or DVDs work with these 2 programs.

I can, however play them in windows (XP) directly with any of the usual players, but, as you might know, this is only software decoding.

      Any thoughts?
