Hello, I got a problem, I just burned my first vcd with nero and I had nero encode it because I can't get tempenc to open my Avi. but it only has the video and no sound, I know this dvd player will work because a friend of mine let me borrow his movie on a vcd, oh, and does it usaully take about 9 hours to encode and burn the cd with nero, because thats pretty long. thanks

Chances are if TMPGEnc rejected the .AVI, there's a problem with it that NERO merely did it's best (unsuccessfully) to overcome.
1) Does the .AVI file play on your PC?
2) What is the sound format?
3) Try loading it into VirtualDub and, if it accepts it, resave it (set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copying") using a conventional (PCM or MP3) sound format at 44,100Khz.
Let us know of your success ;>} -

sorry to ask another question
hey, I really am sorry to ask another question, but the vitrualdub made the video and doubled it so now it is a huge file, but the other video did it fine I think, is there something I might have press in there that would double it and make it play twice, thanksComment
