Alot of the edges around it, get cutoff

I converted one of my anime videos into vcd and the spot at the bottom where there were subtitles got partially cut off

i was using tmpgenc and was converting divx into mpeg1

please help

Did you use the 'Full screen (keep aspect ratio)' option in the menu?
