    bad playback on dvd-player

    Hello everyone,

I have a problem. Though I burn svcd's successfully and watch them on my pc nice, my dvd player can't play them correctly. Particularly, the screen divides into 2 (approximately) as if it is pushed to right, and the right part that's been pushed comes out at the left.In addition, at the bottom of the right part, colourful rectangles appear flashing throught the screen. Does anyone know what could that be? My dvd-player is a pioneer dv-525. Thanks in advance.

Visit vcdhelp.com to see if your player supports the SVCD format.

You could also try burning at lower speeds and using different media. Dvd players are "finicky" about svcd playback.

If you are in the NTSC world, make certain that the resolution is no greater than 480x480 (PAL 480x576)...
