    Vcd sound problem

    Hi,
I've just burnt my first vcd, but the sound stutters like someone is flicking an on/off switch every second. The picture is fine. When i play the disc back on my computer using a virtual vcd player ther is no problem, it's only when i play it back on a standalone player that i get this problem. The file i burnt it from was an .mpg and i used nero, burning at 32x. Do you think it's because i should have burnt it at a slower speed? i read somewhere that domestic players don't like vcd's that are burnt more than about 4x. Or is there a better program than nero i could try instead?
Hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance.

      Try burning at 8X.
32X can be the cause of read errors

If the authored (S)VCD disc plays properly on a PC, it is most likely an issue with your standalone player then. Make sure that your dvd player support cd-r/rw and (S)VCD. Secondly, burn at a lower speed, and try different media (some players are finicky about which media they will play).
