    Problem playing VCD

    I created a VCD using Nero Burning Rom. Did the encoding using FlaskMPEG Panasonic Plug-in. Used Digital media CD-R's to write the VCD. Everything so far is fune

    But when I try to play the VCD in my DVD player (RCA dvd player RC5215P). It recognizes the VCD even shows that it is playing it (I can see the time on the dvd player) but soesn't show anything on the TV screen. Just a blank screen. No audio, no video.... Can anybosy ell me what the problem is. Shoild I try different CD-R's or any change in the setting ehile encoding ot eriting the vcd?

    Tahnk you in advance for any help

    Sounds like you created a non-conforming VCD, which your standalone may not be able to cope with.

    If you "drag and drop" the .DAT file (it's in one of the folders/directories on the CD) onto an already running Windows Media Player, does it play?

      Problem playing VCD

      Thanks for the quick reply.

      What does non-confirming vdc means? Can you please tell me how to avoid the problem.

      I tried playing the .DAT file by the drg and drop in media player, It plays properly. Do I have to do some extra steps to confirm the DVD?

      Thanks again

        Try creating (from your original source file) the MPEG1-VideoCD format file again, this time using TMPGEnc to do so. Then use NERO ONLY to burn the VCD.

        Let us know of your success ;>}
