computer crashing

this problem involes a .mpg file, this was the only place i thought suitable to post so sorry if its in the wrong place. its just that VCDS use mpgs. when i try and play a perticular mpg file i get dodgy colors where the film should be played in WMP and then my PC beeps once and crashes any ideas how to solve this?

Try using WMP 6.4

You can copy the avseq*.dat file(s) to hd using ISOBUSTER (perhaps the cd is corrupt).
