Audio out of sync

I have just converted a movie which was in RM format to MPEG-1 using EO Video. Everything went smoothly as the quality was great but the audio is out of sync with the video.

Can anyone please help me how to resolve the audio problem.

PS - if anyone wants to know EO video is great but conversion sometimes takes too long.

Hi!
Are you talking about playback in a standalone device? Cause I´ve got a similar problem : When playing back my svcd in the standalone player it will very slowly run out of sync- in the end, i guess 70 to 150 ms. Played on the computer there is no such problem at all.

As to your question:
Is a timecode specified in the program you use for encoding? If yes- be sure to set all digits to zero. I was having a similar prob- all svcds were totally async if the timecode wasn`t set to 00,00,00,00 .

I have had this problem before to but I found a way to fix it. When burning the MPEG file on a VCD, you must burn the CD at a MAX of 4X. If you try to burn the CD higher than 4X, the audio usally dosnt match with the video.

When I convert a rm file to mpeg i do not use a cd burner like nero. Nero express does not support rm files so therefore i cannot use nero to convert rm files.
I use EO video which just converts a rm or any other file to mpeg-1, mpeg-2 or avi. Then i use nero express to burn the mpeg-1 file to a cd.
So what my problem is that after i convert a rm file to mpeg-1 (VCD) and before i burn the file on cd the audio is out of sync.
