VCD on PSOne [no extra hardware] - possible?

Hi,

I'd like to know if it's possible to play VCD movies on PSOne without modifications (since it doesn't have the back entrace for extra cards).

No not possible and also not possible on PS2

In order to play vcd's on a standalone, the dvd-player has to support vcd.

In a nutshell: (because there is soooooooooooooooo much to tell about)
DivX is a file you can only watch on your computer (compare it with mp3 -before the mp3-players)

VCD is playable on both your computer and on stand-alone dvd-players which support vcd

VCD is not a file or something like that
You have a mpg-file and burn it to VCD; what the burning program does is add a structure to the cd in order for it to be recognised by vcd players
