    my cd reader don't recognize vcd cds


    my cd reader don't recognize vcd cd's. i'm usin window xp. any have this problem?

    I suspect what you really mean is that it will not autoplay VCDs. I strongly suspect your computer can read the actual CD....go into "My Computer" and see if you cand browse the directory (folder) structure on the VCD. If you can than your computer can read VCDs. You probably do not have a VCD software player program installed that autoplays VCDs. Most software DVD players will play, but not necessarily autoplay VCDs. Also, as VCDs are actually recorded in MPEG-1 format, you can direct Media Player to load the MPEG file and play it. Just select the largest file in the MPEGAV directory on the CD and select open with Media Player.
