cant play svcd file?

I am trying to play an SVCD file on my PC. Its an AMD 2800+ with 1Gb RAM so no problem with speed/power. But when I try to open an svcd file (ie the *.mpg) it doesnt seem to play.

It's a *.bin file which I have put onto a virtual drive with alcohol 120. Are there any specific codecs I need to play SVCD files? Any other ideas?

Try playing it with a software DVD player, such as WinDVD...
