    When i got all the files, for my surprise, i couldnt play the video...
    Ive tryed a lot of mpeg2 codecs, ive tryed powerDVD3, powerDVD4, winDVD2k, winDVD3.1, and again, a lot of codecs... Maybe iam missing something.... Since i have friends that can view this svcd movie...

    I seen this problem before, but eventually this person was able to play it in powerdvd

    You've said that you have tried powerdvd4 already (but maybe your 30 day trail period expired )

    The latest version is powerdvd XP 4.0 downloadeble at downloads.com

    Maybe ..................just maybe, if you try it again ?

      playing LOTR svcd release

      I had the same problem as you, Simps. I tried and tried and tried.. it was really annoying! But then I figured out how to do it; press CTRL-O in powerdvd xp (select source, then open media files), then open the .mpg file on the cd.. it worked for me! hope it works for you..

      best, frodd

        If you're trying to play it from your hard drive, that's your problem. The filename "AVISEQ01.MPG" is indicative of a file that must be placed in the "MPEG2" directory of an SVCD-format burned CD.

        Let us know of your success ;>}

          Damn SVCD

          I've tried everything to play a SVCD from disk with PowerDVDXP, but i got this weird error: "Can't get error string"
          I can get image by encoding it with Vidomi, but no way i'm able to watch it
          What can i do to make it work?

            If you can't view it when you've encoded it with Vidomi
            then perhaps you have got the wrong compression settings..
