    reading broken VCD

I have an old VCD with some broken sectors. It still playes in my DVD-player and in WinDVD2000. But if i want to copy it to my hdd or an other cd-r I'm totally lost. I can copy it by ignoring all errors, but than I can only play the first 7 min of the movie. Is there any program that can read the whole file and convert it to any format? I tried VCDGear and VirtualDUB, but it was no succes.

As a last resort, if you've got a standalone DVD player and your PC has video-in capture capability, just play it and capture it as a new file.

I would give ISOBUSTER a go first and see how that goes, it that fails, than go to CLONE, than if that fails try Blind Read/Blind Write
Let us know how you get on

Can you give me a download-link for "clone". It's very hard to find it using a search-engine. Or do you mean clone-cd?

i had a problem with mpg files copied from cd palying with block noise and distortions, freezes. i tried ISobuster and extracted the file with it and it worked. is ther a better program than NERO to burn cds with. Not VCDs but regular data cds with mpg files on them. i usually record the files at 1.25mbit with 48kh sound.
