which cd-r to use for vcd

I have been using Acer 1x, 12x, multi-speed cd-r discs (650mb) to record vcd and playback on my sony dvd player (tv not computer). They work fine. I´ve just bought a load of LG cd-r 1-48x compatible (700mb) cd-r discs. They play back on the computer dvd drive but my dvd player does not recognise the disc. I´ve tried a Philips cd-rw 80, 4-12x multispeed (700mb) disc and that works fine.
Does anyone know what the problem is with the lg discs?

LG is a good company...but then again its the dvd player that might be picky.

Check here for your dvd player and what others say about it: www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers
Did you know you can SEARCH the forum? Fixes common problems too:
