If you want to make sure your DVD player plays CD-R fine, just burn an audio CD and try it out in your DVD player. That should take care of the CD-R problem. Now if that works, it means your DVD player can read your brand of CD-R, and so you are having a problem burning your VCD."on the north side of 'wild-cat peak' the 'snow squaws' shake their winter blankets and bring forth a chill which rides the wind with goad and spur, hurling with an icy hand rime, and frost upon a dreamy land musing in the lap of Spring"Comment

The fact that a standalone DVD player can playback a burned AUDIO CD-R in no way assures that it will playback a burned VCD..."on the north side of 'wild-cat peak' the 'snow squaws' shake their winter blankets and bring forth a chill which rides the wind with goad and spur, hurling with an icy hand rime, and frost upon a dreamy land musing in the lap of Spring"Comment
