    Second half of cut mpg won't play in DVD Player

    Hi,
    I have used TMPGEnc to convert divx/avi to MPEG-1 and then used MPEG Tools to cut into two pieces so that it will fit on a CD. Used NERO burning ROM to create the two video CD's...The first VCD plays flawlessly on my DVD player (APEX) but the second starts up with jumpy video and no audio. The cut MPEG does play on my computer without problems...

    Any help would be much appreciated.

      When you split the file in TMPGEnc's "Merge & Cut", did you set the mode to "MPEG1-Video CD, instead of the default "MPEG1"? If you didn't, you should...

          Thank you for the prompt response.
          To answer your question, yes, I did set the type to video CD before I cut it, I followed instructions from here: http://www.divx-digest.com/articles/avi2mpeg1.html
