Cannot play VCD on windows 2000

hello,

I have tried various software programs such as (Windows Media Player 9, Power DVD, VCD etc) to play VCD files. The problem is that when i try to play a file the screen is green. I don't get any errors from the players and the sound is correct.

Are these VCDs that you yourself have created?

If so, what software and procedures did you use?

No, i tried to play the VCD from the original CD.

1) Is it a commercial (pressed) VCD or a BURNED VCD?

2) Have you tried to play it on a standalone DVD player that is capable of playing back VCDs?
