autoplay vcd on pc

Is there a way of getting a vcd to autoplay on a pc as well as a dvd?

I have tried
[autorun]
open=start *.dat


anybody know if this is at all possible.

I've got to believe that the "Open=" has to point to the player, as well as the file you want it to play...

[autorun]
Open=autorun.exe mplayer2.exe /fullscreen /play /close \mpegav\avseq01.dat

Be sure to type spaces as indicated!

This should work with Win98, ME, 2000 (I don't know about XP)
