Pioneer NS-DV88

Does anyone know if Pioneer NS-DV88 DVD-player can play SVCD or XVCD disks?

I was there and there was nothing about NS-DV88.
There was a info about NS-DV55 which says that it can play SVCD and XVCD, but I'm not sure for NS-DV88.
That's why I asked the question.

It may not be as simple as this, but it sounds like you have a more advanced model which would normally suggest equal or better features than a previous model. Best bet is to quickly make a SVCD and play it on your standalone to test.

I've already downloaded a small SVCD image and will burn it today if I do not forget.
After the test I'll post the result.
