    Audio sticks in one part

    yes I am encoding "Shawshank Redemption " to make it a VCD. Alittle over half way through the movie, one of the characters says a phrase, and it keeps repeating that phrase for the duration of the movie, the first part works great all the way up to that point. Am lost, I thought it was the avi at first so I deleted it and downloaded another one and it does the same thing. Do I have the Frame Rate Wrong ?

    Any Help woould be greatly appreciated!

    Use VirtualDub to extract the audiostream as a .WAV file. Play the .WAV file in Windows Media Player (or similar) to determine if:

    A) The audio "sticks" if played separately from the video

    B) If the audiostream is as long as the video

    If the .WAV file plays properly and completely, then simply merge it back into the original .AVI (compress the audio after loading in the .WAV file) and save with a new filename.

    Let us know of your success ;>}

            Load the .AVI into VirtualDub

            From the "File" dropdown menu, select "Save as WAV" and save the audiostream with a new filename and a .WAV extension.

            Then, as I said in my previous post,

            Play the .WAV file in Windows Media Player (or similar) to determine if:

            A) The audio "sticks" if played separately from the video

            B) If the audiostream is as long as the video

            If the .WAV file plays properly and completely, then simply merge it back into the original .AVI (compress the audio after loading in the .WAV file) and save with a new filename.

              ok , I seperated the audio from the video, A : it is same length as the movie, B: It does not stick in any parts. Now how do you merge them back together. and What do yyou mean compress the audio?

              Thank You,
              Jon
