Xvid gives Error!

I installed Xvid (the koepi compile) and gave it a try to encode.
But:

AviStreamSetFormat failed

was in the Message box.
May there be incompatabilities with other encoders?
Is it important what FourCC letters are set?

What conversion tool are you using ?.

I seem to recall someone haveing problems like this with DVD2AVI, and one of the XVID developers saying that it was caused by a bug in DVD2AVI.

just this DVD2avi
it gave an error message

i tried DVD2CD also which gave a protection fault
so its a rule if the is a message there is a way
for a solving the problem

I will try other tools to use XviD
