Virtual dub problems with 2 pass

i'm trying to encode a anime scene at 2pass, and for some reason it always turns out bad, i apply smoother and other filters too it i use a bitrate of 1400, but it just won't work. now i can encode the same scene 1pass with the same filters and bitrate and it will turn out beautifully, with almost no noise or artifact.

i just don't understand why it looks so bad when i encode it 2pass

    plz help

Try disabling the mv-log file feature in the codec configuration. Or simply check that the mv-logfile path is valid.
Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.

i tried disabeling the mv file, it didn't help, i've tried so many diff settings in the divx codec, i even tried using divx3.11, it had the same problem, i also run the vob files thru tmpg ivtc and aviutl, taking those steps out of the encoding process did nothing as well, it has to be something in vdub 2pass, some setting im missing.
