    Audio sound

I just rip a dvd and encode it to divx using Gordian Knot, but the volume of the audio isnt so good. Is there a way to increase the volume when encoding in Gordian Knot. Thanks for the reply. BTW great site^_^

Extract the audio using separate programs and mux it later using nandub. Here's a quick run-through:
    1. Extract audio to .wav using Graphedit or Vob2audio
    2. Amplify the volume of the .wav file using a sound editor, such as Cooledit. As a general guide, around 150-200% volume amplification is needed.
    3. Convert the .wav to .mp3 using an mp3 encoder, such as LAME
    4. Mux the .mp3 with the video you have created in GK using nandub

Live longer than you? It's off-topic really, but what do you mean by that?
