Xmpeg4.5 and Divx 5.0.2 Help?

i am currently trying to get the "2 pass, first pass" mode to work in Xmpeg 4.5- i am using:

Xmpeg4.5 (obviously)
the DVD.mism (to open ifo's)
Divx 5.0.2 Pro codec.

I set up the Divx codec to "2 pass, first pass", and everything seems set up correctly according to the various guides i have read. I also set the "2nd pass settings" in the "General" tab in Xmpeg. However, when I start the conversion the Compression Tracer shows no compression at all through both first and second passes, and the output file i end up with is usually tiny (a couple hundred kilobytes) and obviously unplayable. has anyone had the same problem or any suggestions- this would be greatly appreciated.

after you do the 1st pass - go to the divx properties and change the value to 2pass - second pass and rencode the file - you can use the same filename or another but after the second pass it will be a good file.
