How are you ripping the files ?.
If you are using movie mode in smart rippper or ifo parsing mode in DVD Decryptor, you need to select the rigth program chain and video stream.

Then you just need to select the right program chain and video angle.

If for some reason this does not work, then use files mode instead. in this case you might need to edit the files durring the conversion. With GKnot this can easily be done in DVD2AVI.

                    What was the problem?

Could you tell us what the problem was please. Just incase we/I are/am confronted with a similar drama.

I ripped a DVD once that was meant to be over 2 1/2 hours but the movie file ripped was 1 hour 20 min. I had to rip 'ALL FILES' to get the rest and found that the end of the DVD was at the start (if that makes any sense) then had to join in correct order using VirtualDub. Could be some kind of DVD trick to turn ppl away from reproducing the DVD.

yeah sure this is what happened the movie i had was divided into two parts on each disc chapters 1-20 20-40 u see what i mean. and smart ripper would only rip the first part of the movie

so what i had to do is rip the first set of vob file s then use smart ripper and select the second chain under the movie tab the main problem was that i couldnt get the vob files for the second part but selecting a different chain fixed it it was really obvious what chain to select cause only one other one was an hour long when its done im just gonna use nandub to merge the movies together to make one avi file but i think you have to rip them exactly the same i think tehy did do this to keep people from ripping dvds but maybe not.

i hope this helped u im bad at explaining things
