What difference did you expect ?

Diffrent movies will compress diffrently, some compress very well, other very poorly. So comparing two different movies makes no sense.

Did you compare the same movie, encoded at the same bitrate, with the same filters, at different resolutions ?. If so how big a difference ?.

Smaller / bigger, just like my desktop in w2k!!!

When i put it on an other resolution 800*600 the icons are
          bigger than on 1280*728!!!

          That's what i mean!!

Please correct me if i'm wrong!!!!!

OK, it sounds like you are having problems with cropping and resizeing.

Which tool are you using ?.

Normally, one uses cropping to cut away the black border around the picture. But don't cut away much of the picture. The cropped image is then zoomed to fit the output resolution.

So if you zoom a picture like this, encoded at different resolutions, to full screen, the picture should be almost the same. Except that the picture will become less detailed, at lower resolutions.

I hope this covers your problem

Sorry, I don't have much experience with DVDX and none with DVDX2. I use GordianKnot
