Hi,
I have a small .vob file which I ripped from a DVD (the .vob file is a movie trailer, and I ripped it using cladDVD XP 1.3).
Now i'd like to convert this .vob file into a .mpeg file. I want the .mpeg file to be as small as possible (yet still watchable) because i'm going to host it on my website (www.chowyunfat.info) for vistors to download and view.
I'm using TMPGEnc to convert the .vob file to a .mpeg file (MPEG-1).
I've set the video to 352x288 (as it is PAL at 25fps)
and set a really low video bit rate of 300.
I've set the audio as:
sampling frequency: 32000
Channel mode: Mono
Bitrate: 64
this gives me a 5 mb .mpeg file (the trailer is 96 secs long).
Besides lowering the video bitrate even lower, is there anything else I can do to make the .mpeg file smaller.
Or possibly, will converting to RealPlayer format keep a smaller file size yet decent quality... does anyone know how to convert VOB (or MPEG) to real player (.RM, .RAM) format ?
Thanks for any help,
Cheers!
Shams
