how can i get vcds burnt with nero 5.5.9.0 to play in ps2

is the newest version of nero better for burning vcds 2 play in playstation2 n other dvd players that previously wouldnt play them? does anyone have an tips or tricks on how 2 do this? i suppose one needs a mod chip for the ps2. i would greatly appreciate some advice on the subject

I never knew the PS2 could play VCd's

Vcd's won't work in every DVD player.
I have some VCDs adn SVCDs and they won't play in my friends DVD player at all, but will play in mine

u need to download a TMPGENC template to do this.

goto www.google.com and type in pss.mcf and click on the first or second link and download the template.

Then open this in TMPGENC and encode the file u want and burn it in nero

PS2 does not play VCDs and hence whatever method you choose to use to create your VCDs will not matter.

There may be a mod chip that allows PS2 consoles to accept VCDs though. Perhaps someone can verify this?

None of these PS2 mods say anything about VCD. Just back up games. I'm sure it's possible, look at all the crap people figured out how to do with their Dreamcasts.

Actually I wish I had bought myself one. I heard it is capable of being modified to play DivX files and look at those anime and arcade games I could enjoy (at home).

hey, i just wanted to let you know, in case you havent already seen it on Divx.com, that they will be releasing a mod for PS2 and Gamecube that will allow you to play DIVX files on your PS2.
