virtualdub e Athlon XP 1900+

I have just changed my system, now I have a Athlon XP 1900+ with Windows XP and 512 Mb Ram. Now if I encode a video captured with Pinnacle DC10+ after 9995 frames virtualdub crash. If I encode only video it's all normal.
How do I solve this problem ?

Then one would suspect, that the audio codec is the culprit. Which audio codec does the DC10 use when captureing ? which audio codec are you converting to in virtualdub ?

One possible solution, might be to disable audio when recompressing in virtualdub and process the audio seperatly.

You can extract the audio from the captured avi file by using the "save wav" function in virtualdub.

As suggested, process the audio separately by extracting the audio as a WAV file. You can work on the WAV file using a sound editor and converting it to the audio format of your choice. Assuming you are converting it to MP3, you can then mux the MP3 file with the video you have created in Virtualdub using nandub.
