Audio falls out of sunc after 52 % of movie??? Newbie here

Hi i just entered the dvd2divx world a few days ago 'causs i wanted to learn it. I used the G knot guide above.

When i have muxed the file with nandub or just g knot, i get an asynched audio after aprox 51 % of the movie. I don't get it ?

It's a PAL 16:9 anamorphic DVD, stripped it with Smartripper, used DVD2AVI, it's a 2,5 hour long movie, using 2 cds and 192 kbps sound 1xvbr. I don't get why it's out of sync. I have tried 4 times now. Same problem.

BTW, the ac3 file has 0 ms delay, and i have also tried muxing direct stream with Virtual Dub-Mp3

System spec is:
P4 1,8 ghz @ 2,4 ghz
512 DDR ram
7200 rpm ibm harddisk

Try this little suggestion:
1. Load up the file in nandub (VD does not take to VBR MP3 stream kindly)
2. Set both Video and Audio tabs to Direct Stream Copy
3. Go to Video -> Frame rate -> Change so audio and video durations match (You should see something closely resembling PAL's 25 fps)
4. Go to File -> Save as AVI and give a name to the new file

See whether the synch problem goes away this time.

Didn't work too well... it's synched in the first lets say 25 % then it's out a few ms then its synched again later no for the rest 40 % of the movie ? is this normal???

It's not normal definitely. Can you post the file's File Information (use Virtual/nandub to obtain it) here so I can have a better idea on what's in the file? Also, how did you interleave the audio (if you did configure it at all)?

Do this again, but set the audio interleave to every 1 frame (instead of 500MS)...

ok. But i didn't set it to do it every 500 ms... but every 1 ms.. I set the PRELOAD to 500. I just tried it with 1500 ms preload with no luck either.. i'll just try it again with every frame then

I give up! I tried with several delays now also. Tried nandub, virtualdub , 500 -1500 ms preload and interlieving at 1 ms or 1 frame at the time... nothing works... i guess my computer is crap at encoding or it's just a crap dvd. Don't hope it's the same as with other dvd's.
