    NEWB needs help

I tried using Virtual Dub to cut some of my Divx Movies in half so i can burn them on cd but it savs that i am missing a Div3 decoder. I have the Divx 5 codec. What do i need to get to make this program work and where do i get it?

      Hi guys.

I am having the same problem.
I have a movie with 716 mb (around!) and I've been trying to burn into 1 cd.
I've tried to use the Virtual Dumb but I couldn't open the file (the same problem as you) but my message is different. It's sayed that: 'couldn't locate decompressor for format Div3 (Microsoft high speed mpeg-4 v3 [hack: Divx low-motion]).

I have used the Divx 4 and 5 (I couldn't use the 3.11 because I am using the WinNT). I also have downloaded many other programs. One that seems work is the ffdshow, but it is again asking for this mother ****er DIvx3 codec.

I really don't know what to do...

If someone could help me it would be cool...

I am stucked on this problem since 2 weeks ago. Really, I am almost giving up.

I know this WinNT is a shit but I am using the computer from the place where I am studying, and I can't change the OS.

      Thanks in advance...

      Alex
