When i use virtualdub to extract the audio from the movie asterix and obelix of the movie IT, it shows the following error "The requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format" is there a way i can fix this???

    Movie specs are:

    Frame size 544x304, 23.976 fps
    # of frames (time) 135160 (01:33:57)
    Decompressor XviD MPEG-4 codec
    Number of key frames 1433

    Audio stream

    Sampling rate 48000Hz
    Channels 2 (stereo)
    Sampling precision 0-bit ????
    Compression Unknown (tag 2000)

    Solved my own problem!!!!

Virtualdub ac3 is a modified version.

Go and get VirtualDub_AC3.zip load movie and save wav/ac3 sound to disk. Both video and audio in Direct Stream Copy modus.

Get a tool named ac3dec.exe with it's GUI ac3decgui.exe and covert the wav/ac3 you made with virtualdub AC3.exe to a real wave.

When finished, load the wav back into Virtualdub in the audio pulldown menu and save the movie in Direct Stream Copy (video and audio) to disk.

Load saved movie into TMPGEnc and it can be converted into SVCD (with sound)>

You can also load the wav into TMPGEnc but I don't know if it will go out of sync.

A pain in the ass but atleast it works.
